The Tara Winds Scholarship Foundation is designed to share the love of music by providing funds to further music education for middle and high school band students. To that end, the Foundation was formed in 1993 to support the effort. As of the spring of 2011, more than $56,000 has been awarded in scholarships for middle and high school band members to attend summer music camps and colleges.
Scholarship funds are available for graduating seniors, and middle and high school students in Georgia. The foundation will award funds in the form of College Instrumental Music Scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing a higher education in instrumental music. Summer Band Camp Scholarships are available to high school and middle school students for summer study. All scholarships will be awarded at the Tara Winds Spring Concert.
Contributions to the Tara Winds Scholarship Foundation may be tax deductible. Tax advisors should be consulted for specific details.
